Most of the popular foods in India include rice, lentils, vegetables, and curry. Rice is served as a side dish or a main course. Curry is a spicy Indian food. Other common food are wheat, barley, bread, chickpeas, cheese, beans, yogurt, coconuts, cashews, and almonds. The food is rich with spices including ginger, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, and dried hot peppers. Indian architecture is as old as the history of the civilization and is the result of socio-economic and geographical conditions. The most well-known architecture in India is the Taj Mahal.

The most dominant religion in India is Hinduism. It is one of the ancient religions in the world. Many sports are played in India.

Field hockey was assumed the national sport of India, but there is no national sport. One of the most popular sports in India is cricket. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game. Soccer (called football in India) is another popular sport in India.India has many native plants. A few of them include lotus, marigolds, and jasmine.

Lotus is a water plant. They are usually pink, white, or a mix of pink and white. Marigolds are grown everywhere in India, and are used for celebrations. Jasmine is the most famous flower in India. It is used for special occasions like weddings. Women adorn their hair with Jasmine flowers because of its sweet fragrance.

Although India is a developing country, its cultures and traditions are considered the richest. However, it is one of the most influential countries in the world, especially in the field of computers and technology.
