Development of mobile technologies nowadays has produced a huge amount of excitement among experts and teachers. This is because it results in transform the academic environment from traditional styles to mobile learning which is m-learning. Besides that, increasing the numbers of institutions that offer courses by using mobile wireless technologies to change from traditional settings to mobile settings as a learning tools.
According to Maginnis, White, & Mckenna (2000), based on the past years, educators and students in higher education have enjoyed the many benefits by using wired technology. However, wired technology provides limited access for usage because of lack of mobility. This is means that wired-technologies cannot provide anywhere functionality, anytime, between a benefit now offered by mobile wireless technologies. The function of mobile wireless technologies can overcome the limitation of educational flexibility with wired technology and it will help students to achieve to the academic excellence. So that, with the advantages of mobile technologies advancement is, mobile wireless technologies can help to improve efficiency and effectiveness in teaching and learning for the students. Wireless laptops are the other name of mobile wireless computers that is most popular mobile technologies that is used in higher education. Wireless laptops have a joined wireless card that enables short-range wireless voice and data communications. Unlike wired laptops that use an Ethernet card, also called a NIC or Network card to attach to a network, mobile wireless laptops use a wireless network interface card (WNIC) to attach to a network. WNIC uses a very low radio frequency which in its place of a wired connection to attach to the network.
